Grinding Systems for Press Cake and Nut Butter – Efficient Solutions from Ölwerk

  The OWH200 Hammer Mill is a powerful and versatile vertical hammer mill specifically designed for use in the feed industry as well as various other sectors. Thanks to its robust construction and high-quality manufacturing, the OWH200 is ideal for grinding press cakes, grains, and seeds for feed mixtures, but can also efficiently be used for crushing wood waste, wood chips, straw, bones, brick residues, lumpy raw materials, and various wastes. The grinding process is carried out by eight robust hammers that rotate at high speed (2,890 RPM) and crush the material both by impact and friction between the screen and the raw material. The OWH200 stands out with its ease of operation and maintenance. Changing screens is straightforward, allowing different grinding levels (screen sizes 2–8 mm) to be quickly realized. In the standard version, the 2mm screen is installed. The machine is also easy to clean, making operation particularly efficient and hygienic. With a drive power of 3.0 kW and a rotor diameter of 430 mm, the hammer mill achieves a throughput of 100 to 200 kg per hour (depending on the screen diameter). The compact design and total weight of 113 kg allow flexible integration into existing systems. The OW Nut Butter Press HEAVY is the most powerful machine in the range and is designed for series and large-scale production. With a throughput of at least 250 kg per hour, a hopper volume of 20 litres and a 3 HP three-phase motor (approx. 2.2 kW) with frequency converter, it is suitable for food manufacturers, contract processors and businesses with high-volume requirements. The mobile floor-standing housing (97 × 59 × 156 cm, 115 kg) can be positioned flexibly; the integrated automatic feed enables continuous, largely unattended operation.   The housing is made of 304 stainless steel and the grinding disc of 316 stainless steel. Even at high throughput, processing is gentle, at low temperature and without adding oil or water, so that oils, flavours and nutrients are preserved. The machine can be dismantled for cleaning with minimal tools; product-contact parts are made of food-safe materials. A safety device, frequency converter and automatic feed unit are integrated. Power supply: three-phase, 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz.

The OW Nut Butter Press LIGHT processes all common nuts and seeds into natural nut butter – including peanut, almond, cashew, hazelnut, pistachio, macadamia, walnut as well as sesame and pumpkin seeds. Cooked legumes and steamed vegetables can also be processed into purées. With a throughput of around 50–60 kg per hour, a hopper volume of 1.5 kg and compact dimensions of 43 × 23 × 41 cm at 26 kg weight, it is designed for small and medium-sized businesses, farm shops and mobile use at markets. The grinding unit works with a grinding disc made of stainless steel 316; the housing is made of stainless steel. Processing takes place at low temperature, without adding oil or water, so that the natural oils and aromas of the raw materials are preserved. The machine can be dismantled and cleaned in a few minutes with minimal tools. All product-contact parts are made of food-safe materials. An integrated safety device ensures safe operation. The OW Nut Butter Press PROFI is designed for continuous commercial operation and processes all common nuts and seeds into high-quality, natural nut butter – such as peanut, almond, cashew, hazelnut, pistachio, macadamia, walnut, sesame and pumpkin seeds. Cooked beans, legumes and vegetables can likewise be processed into purees. With a throughput of around 80–90 kg per hour, a hopper volume of 3.5 kg and dimensions of 46 × 25 × 55 cm at 32 kg, it is suitable for manufactories, cafés, bakeries, ice cream parlours and use in food retail.   The housing is made of stainless steel 304, the grinding disc of stainless steel 316. The gentle processing at low temperature and without adding oil or water preserves the oils, aromas and nutrients of the raw materials. The machine can be dismantled and cleaned with few tools within minutes; all parts in contact with the product are made of food-safe materials. A safety device is integrated.
